I am healthy, why do I need medical insurance?

What do I do if I need to seek medical attention?
In the event of requiring medical attention, it is crucial to contact the emergency assistance number on your wallet card PRIOR to seeking medical treatment. Failure to do so may reduce your coverage.
What if I can't call the emergency assistance line first?
In a situation where you need immediate medical attention and cannot call first, please ask someone to call on your behalf, or call as soon as possible. Share your insurance information with travel companions so it is easily accessible if needed.
What is the difference between a Single trip plan, Annual/Multi- trip & a Top-Up plan?
A single trip plan will cover you for one trip only.
An annual or Multi-trip plan will cover you for a one year period with an unlimited amount of trips up to the chosen duration (ex. 15 days or 30 days). If you choose a 30 day annual plan but have a 45 day trip, you can buy an extension to cover that one longer trip duration.
Top-up coverage is a great way to extend your existing insurance coverage period that you might have with your employer or credit card. This type of coverage must be purchased prior to your departure date.
